Maiora M|38: A New Chapter in the Brand’s History
The first yacht of the M line marks a new era for MAIORA, combining timeless elegance with design that optimizes every space for maximum comfort
Viareggio, 6 March 2025
MAIORA, a brand of Next Yacht Group, presents the Maiora M|38, the first yacht of the M line, inaugurating a new course for the shipyard while preserving the identity that has defined half a century of MAIORA’s successes.
The Maiora M|38 defies time, combining unprecedented living and functional experiences—a journey between innovation and tradition, a dialogue between past and future, resulting in an exclusive interpretation of elegance.
With a length of 37m (122 feet) and a beam of 8,20m (27 feet), the new model spans three decks, with five cabins accommodating up to 12 guests, including the Owner’s suite on the main deck and four guest suites on the lower deck.
The Maiora M|38 is the result of a collaboration between MAIORA and Quartostile, renowned for its prestigious yachting projects—including the award-winning Maiora 36 Exuma—as well as automotive collaborations with high-profile names such as Giugiaro and Maserati. While the exterior design bears the signature of Quartostile, the interiors were curated by Acube Design, active for over 20 years in the industry.
Quartostile and the MAIORA team worked to create a vision that surpasses traditional boundaries, transforming the yacht into a natural extension of the sea, with architectural solutions ensuring perfect continuity between interior and exterior, where the horizon becomes an integral part of the onboard experience.
The profile of M|38 has been designed to evoke a sense of dynamism, thanks to a fine contrast of volumes and accelerations that convey motion even when the yacht is at anchor. Bold yet refined lines converge in a play of light and shadow, harmoniously blending the hull with large glazed surfaces and the warmth of teak.
“Our goal was not merely to design a yacht’s lines, but to write a new chapter, establishing traits and concepts that can be applied across different lengths and serve as a reference for the brand’s future. Behind this vision lies an approach that goes beyond creating forms: a design process rooted in close collaboration with the shipyard, refining every stylistic solution through advanced engineering. Every curve, every surface, every detail expresses our belief that design is a language capable of evoking emotions and transforming navigation into an unparalleled experience,” commented Quartostile.
The exterior areas, the heart of life onboard, offer guests direct and immersive contact with the sea, with thoughtfully designed spaces where the full-beam bow and openable stern redefine onboard living areas.

The main deck unfolds as a dynamic continuum between interior and exterior. At the stern, foldable bulwarks and a swimmable pool with retractable cover redefine versatility onboard. A skillful distribution of heights brings the cockpit closer to the water, offering unprecedented usability of spaces. This sense of continuity extends to the salon, where openable side windows dissolve all boundaries, providing an immersive experience with seamless interaction between inside and outside. At the bow, the full-beam Owner’s cabin features large windows that blur physical limits, creating an intimate connection with the sea.
On the upper deck, ample space and continuity from stern to bow allow for non-traditional flexibility, enabling a fully customizable layout according to the Owner’s wishes. The spacious lounge, dining, bar, and sunbathing areas offer unique sensations, enhanced by breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding sea. The Pilot House, positioned independently, provides optimal control and extraordinary visibility with a panoramic 180-degree forward view.
Completing this layout for maximum comfort are the four guest suites on the lower deck.
The interiors of M|38, developed by Acube Design in collaboration with the shipyard’s Style Center, express the beauty of simplicity through organic forms and natural materials, creating spaces designed for practical living and well-being. Fluid forms are central to this project: far from rigid geometries, the design draws inspiration from natural marine elements, with soft curves and continuous surfaces promoting a sense of harmony and relaxation.
“With the Maiora M|38, we wanted to embody an innovative vision where form, function, and connection with the sea merge seamlessly. The M|38 removes all barriers between interior and exterior, maximizing interaction with the surrounding environment. Teak flooring extends indoors, reinforcing the idea of limitless space, while handcrafted leather elements and artistic references transform every space into a sophisticated and contemporary work of art,” commented Acube Design.
The first Maiora M|38 unit will be built in Viareggio, at the prestigious shipyard site equipped with eight dedicated yacht-building stations and is scheduled to launch in Summer 2026.
